about
Spencer and Jude are two roommates trying to survive the unforgiving environment of a city rife with neglect. Spencer is hard at work accomplishing his pharmaceutical degree and intends on completing this goal at any cost, lest he squander an opportunity that will set him up for life. to make ends meet in the meantime he's created a lucrative business with the skills he's learned in school producing and selling drugs. with Jude on the streets as his salesman they are able to survive. meanwhile Jude lives a carefree life unbound from the shackles of society's expectations. he enjoys this freedom to it's fullest and regularly indulges in all forms of debauchery, but finds that his past continues to haunt his life no matter what he does to put it behind him.thus far they've managed to avoid the scrutiny of the law due to the sheer amount of crime keeping every district busy. and of course, finely honed skills in avoiding law enforcement never fail to come in handy. but efforts by the city to crack down on illegal activity are causing deadly levels of tension within the city's guts. survival pushes many to do unthinkable things. the city is choked by deceit, distrust, and fear. the boys, along with everyone else, will have to figure out how to bear the rising pressure or be crushed under the weight: relationships will be tested, decisions with consequences that can't be taken back will be made, and the past continues to threaten the fragile present.

who is the intended audience? are there content warnings needed?
Untitled Project is sensitive and mature in nature, therefore the intended audience is strictly adults. content featured may be upsetting and subjects including (but not limited to) the following may be featured with varying graphic detail: sexual assault and general sexual content, usage of drugs, child abuse and neglect, violence (including gun violence), death, mental illness, substance addiction, complex trauma, and similar topics. those who wish not to view dark themes and bleak subjects should avoid this project.what is the setting?
the setting takes place in a similar but fantasy version of our world. it's set in what can be considered an alternate universe version of San Fransisco, California.why do you choose to depict such sensitive subjects in this project?
untitled project is about society's cruelty and the unfairness of life. it is not meant to be a comfortable read and therefore certain subject matter may be upsetting to see. Pain and grief can be ugly. it all has to go somewhere...if not here then where?what do you use to draw?

For MANY reasons, both in and out of his control, Jude is ill suited for most “normal person” jobs. It's probably an easy guess as to why: problems with authority, easily bored, not so squeaky clean record, always intoxicated, etc etc. His partnership with Spencer works out equally well for both of them and Jude is satisfied with his nightly escapades into the guts of the city. Every day is a little different. Much better than having a set schedule and getting told what to do for pennies in some retail shithole. The sort of people that come out once the sun goes down are his kind of crowd, and he prefers the atmosphere of city nights anyway. It might be unconventional and looked down on by most, but hey! It’s what works best for him, he’s good at it, and It’s what allows him the freedom to do what he wants. He’s thriving!And he does love his freedom! Something you should know about Jude is that he values his freedom more than anything else - the freedom to come and go, to make his own decisions, to not need or be needed by anyone else. Anything less than absolute autonomy is suffocating. This mindset allows him to be free of the same invisible rules, feelings of shame, and general limits that govern everyone else. He is always seeking equilibrium and he has many ways of accomplishing that, ways that bring him to places few will allow themselves to go. Push every limit! Every day something new, every night a new toy, countless crossroads all leading to some sort of satisfaction! What a life to live, I bet you’re jealous! Unbound and free! He is happy with it all, HAPPY. Finally HAPPY after so much time [REDACTED], GLAD, GRATEFUL, LUCKY, AND SO VERY FREE!

FUN JUDEFACTS!!!▪️ Jude & his mom look super alike especially when they both have short hair. He can't stand seeing her in him when he looks in the mirror so he grows his hair out in adulthood.
▪️ Jude does NOT have a driver's license! It has been suspended for many years due to too many DUI's and general violations. Spencer encouraged (read: forced) Jude to get his drivers license when they were younger and after successfully passing the test he had it for a whole week before he got it taken away the first time.

Spencer is Jude's childhood friend, partner in crime, and very sleep deprived roommate. He usually wears a scowl and is rather easy to piss off. Spencer HIGHLY values having a set schedule, and despite hating chaos, spontaneity, and disorder, that’s pretty much his constant state of being (living with Jude does that).More often than not Spencer produces things that are less than legal (nothing is off limits to him as long as it will make him money) he specializes in mushrooms, but dabbles in other substances as well. He does grow legitimate stuff that he also sells which he uses as a front to avoid trouble. Sell gourmet mushrooms to people’s grandmas by day, deals anything else you can think of by night.While Jude is capable of more than you would expect, he typically leaves the task of making stuff to Spencer, preferring to go out and sell it off instead. Spencer hates selling so it works out! He’s busy enough as is it, and hates dealing with the kind of…”clientele” that buys his stuff. However, if he is selling his legitimate product he will typically do that himself. In fact he forbids Jude from doing it unless he absolutely has to due to his, uuuhm… general appearance and demeanor. Spencer would rather use the opportunity to stroke his ego, portraying himself as a hard working student that is trying to get through school by making a small living with his very legitimate small business rather than some cretin who slinks around at night doing various illegal activities. And the grandmas buying his gourmet mushrooms always tip ;)

FUN SPENCERFACTS!!!▪️ Spencer's knack for cooking started when he was young. His mom left him food for the times she was working (which was all the time) of course, but over time the pre-made dinners she prepared seemed to have stopped showing up in the fridge. Since he was left home alone for extended periods of time he had to figure it out himself.
▪️ for the most part Spencer manages the apartment: he grocery shops, handles the rent and bills, and makes sure their shared spaces are clean as much as he can. Spencer regards himself as the "responsible" one, but Jude would say that he's simply a control freak.

Jude and Spencer are assholes, but this guy...this guy is different :) yes he’s a bit of a thief, a little weaselly too, He isn't perfect! But he can be a real sweet guy if you know him, and he trusts you.Spencer and Jude are friends from childhood, but they didn’t become acquainted with Nick until later in life. Spencer thinks he’s smart but compared to Nick he’s a box of rocks. Obviously to WANT to spend time with the other two you gotta be a certain kind of person, so there’s a reason they hang out together… but Nick really is a kind guy at heart. Out of all of them, the one most meant for the limelight of success. But his life has not been easy.Due to the nature of the kind of things he steals, he is the subject of ire for victims and is always looking over his shoulder for those who want to take revenge or see him pay in some way for it. He sometimes helps Spencer with the more complex work in the “lab” as well as with his school assignments (You’ll never catch Spencer acknowledging his contributions though) and he LOVES Spencer's cooking. He has some kind of sixth sense where if Spencer is cooking, Nick will appear mysteriously at the apartment, almost like some kind of... rat…And with Jude, well. Jude is largely incapable of having (allowing) genuine connections with most others. But sometimes people grow on you no matter how hard you try not to let them.

FUN NICKFACTS!!!▪️ Nicholas's favorite dish that Spencer makes is his clam chowder! It's warm, delicious, and reminds him of his grandparents.
